Coviding

Times are difficult and troubles have no end.
It is tough for each one for oneself to fend.

It feels like life has been tied to a chain.
And this COVID has gotten more than our body into our brain.

The sheer fear of the unknown has taken over many of us.
And some still don't understand what is all the fuss.

Media uses big words that a layman doesn't understand.
All we know is we get to feed ourselves when we have some work on hand.

By every passing day, the trouble seems to increase.
And there is a question about what will it be that our future generation sees.

No one knows what to do in a situation so frail.
But still, at this time, it's only the hope that helps every human prevail.

COVID Lessons

In this time of COVID
We have learnt to modify our need.
A virus had to strike us
To teach us how to breathe

It taught us the value of cleanliness
Something that should have been basic.
It taught us to stand alone all along
Coz the one you are leaning on, may not be very strong.

It taught us to spend time with our own people
Who we had forgotten during our material struggle.

In this time of need, we realise that humanity exists
We need to thank and show gratitude to all those before our exit.

Life is unpredictable and we need to choose right
In the time as such, we also learned we can stay away and still together put up a fight.

Life goes on with or without anyone
We just need to know the value of the present before it's gone.
